In the natural it is understood that before we go to college, we MUST first go to grade school. We know we cannot understand the lessons on the higher level until we first fully comprehend the lower level. All truth being parallel, why then do many Christians try to skip the basic spiritual understandings and think they will somehow benefit.

Lake and others, who have been used mightily, were used greatly by the Lord Jesus, not because of a special "anointing" but rather because they had an experiential understanding of the core basic: "who I am in Christ".
