Common Questions
Are We A Works-Based Ministry?

Because we stress so often the works that are to accompany faith, we are often asked if we are works-based in our theology. The answer is yes and no. Yes, in the sense that Jesus and His Apostles speak of in the Bible. No, in the sense that many people think of.

James said, "just as a body is dead without its spirit, faith without works is also dead."  He said that because he knew his Lord had said, "he that believes in Me the works that I have done will he also do..." (John 14:12) and "he that has My commandments and obeys them is the one that loves Me and that one will have My Father's love and I too will love that one and will manifest Myself to him." (John 14:21)

We believe that if someone truly loves God then the world will know it by their outward expressions (words, deeds, etc). We know that salvation is my grace through faith, not works. And, we also know that true saving faith will always manifest itself in the ways the Bible says that it will... by action.

We desire to equip those who already know God, (by wayway of faith), to be able to manifest the Lord's love to those in need and therefore bring the Kingdom of God to earth, one act/word at a time. We know that in a land of 'hippy grace', voices are needed to "provoke the Lord's people unto good works." (Hebrews 10:24)  It is the sole responsibility of the Body of Christ to be Jesus to the world that is in need of the Savior, and we intend on reminding Christians of this fact every chance we get.
